Original Soundtracks – Shadow of War

Dopo una pausa estiva non voluta, torno a scrivere per la rubrica del lunedì, che è dedicata alle colonne sonore originali (più o meno) che accompagnano il mio (e se tu fossi qui, potrebbe essere anche il tuo) passatempo preferito: i videogiochi.

Oggi vorrei porre alla tua attenzione la colonna sonora portante di Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, l’ultimo videogioco d’azione e avventura sviluppato da Monolith per Warner Bros. e pubblicato quasi un anno fa: 10 ottobre 2017. Affidandosi alla licenza ufficiale di una serie di film come quella de Il Signore degli Anelli e Lo Hobbit, gli sviluppatori hanno impiattato un gradevole gioco d’azione che prende di tutto un po’, da tutti i suoi predecessori di genere: Assassin’s Creed, Batman Arkham ed altri ancora.

La colonna sonora è affidata principalmente a Garry Schyman. Ma è il supporto di Nathan Grigg, che a giudicare dal suo curriculum potremmo definire un veterano nel campo delle colonne sonore dei videogiochi, con la voce di Kelli Schaefer, a consegnare alla storia Fires of War, canzone di introduzione e di epilogo al gioco di Monolith.
